1965 Mercury (Seiko) Hand Wind Mechanical Watch Seikosha Mov. Cal. 957
£105.00Price
A very attractive automatic Japanese watch in it's rarest form, presented in superb condition.
A Mercury 6602 - 1990, the identical watch was also branded Seiko (Who of course made it) and also as a "Seiko Sportsman" - Beware also of "Timex Mercury" and "Smiths Mercury" which whilst good in their own ways, have nothing to do with Seiko! This model was made in Japan between 1960 and 1969, this being a 1965 model, with the Sekosha cal. 957 17 jewels manual movement. This is a very pleasing vintage watch, with a large case for this period we have had a service carried out on the watch, and it is running to time. A near perfect Dial - The gold plated case has minimal wear marks ,and we have replaced the acrylic crystal glass and fitted a new leather strap with gold colour metal buckle. Case - 35mmx42mm (excluding crown and from lug to lug) Lug width - 20 mm
