West End Watch Co 36mm Military Issue "Sowan" 17 Jewel Manual Wind Watch
A 1980's manual winding watch just serviced and in first class condition. The watch has the double back, and was made for military issue, as the arrow on the case back denotes - 35mmx43mm Case.
A cal 684 movement is fitted, which puts the watch as early to mid 1980s - The movement has been overhauled, it is running well, and keeping time.
The crystal is new , the watch has a really attractive dial which is near perfect in black with an outer minute track.
The FHF 684 (produced by Fabrique d'Horlogerie de Fontainemelon) is a vintage Swiss mechanical movement. It is an 8 \(\frac{3}{4}\) ligne manually-wound calibre featuring 17 jewels, a beat rate of 21,600 vph (3 Hz), and a sweep seconds hand. It is highly prized for its reliability in mid-century budget and mid-tier Swiss watches.
