Fabrique d'Horlogerie Wega (Wega Watch Co.) was established in Grenchen, Switzerland, in 1921. The company initially focused on producing quality calibers for small wristwatches, later expanding to men's, 8-day, and automatic watches. The watches typically featured classic designs and housed reliable movements, such as the ETA 2873 automatic movement found in a Wega diver model. The company eventually went bankrupt in 1983, with a subsequent transfer of business ceasing all activity in 1996
