A wonderful Commemorative Dial "Trans Polar"
On June 18–20, 1937, a Soviet crew consisting of Valery Chkalov, co-pilot Georgy Baidukov, and navigator Alexander Belyakov, in an ANT-25 aircraft, completed the first nonstop transpolar flight in history from Moscow to Vancouver, Washington, USA, via the North Pole. This is a Zim Calibre 2602 mechanical manual wind watch which has been fully serviced. The case is chrome plated plated Approx 33mm wide excluding the winder. The watch is in superb condition.
