This is a Zim Calibre 2602 mechanical manual wind watch which has been fully serviced. The case is chrome plated plated Approx 33mm wide excluding the winder. The watch is in superb condition.
The Northern (Arctic) Convoys were strategic transport groups of the Allies under Lend-Lease during World War II, sailing from Great Britain, Iceland, and the United States to Soviet northern ports (Murmansk, Arkhangelsk) under the protection of the British and Soviet navies.
