Timor ATP WW2 Official Ordnance Military Issue Watch C.1939

A superb and historic Timor ATP military issue watch in superb condition, with the broad arrow on the case back.
This watch is original apart fro the new strap - The case is very good considering the application of the watch, just minor wear marks - A near perfect dial, with just a little loss to the minute hand The watch has a 15 Jewel Perseux Cal 190 movement which is running to time. 30mmx38mm.
The War Office ordered 133, 000 of these watches from various Swiss Manufacturers  in 1939, known affectionately as Tommy Watches these predated the famous Dirty Dozen by a number of years and were worn during the heaviest fighting in WW2.
After the war those that hadn't been lost or irreparably damaged the MOD tried to destroy ,although some survive which make these highly collectable and ever incresding in value.
