Superb 1940's Timor 15 Jewel Manual Winding Watch

Superb quality Timor Watch -  Swiss Made with a three part case, Stainless-Steel, with the centre part in chromed brass, and a 15 Jewel Timor movement, based on an AS1203 cal - manual winding movement .
The case is 32mmx42mm (excluding the crown and lug to lug) An eye catching two tone dial, soft silver centre, champagne outer, with Arabic numerals, with matching hands, and subsidiary seconds dial at six.
Timor's history is largely defined by its service to the British military during WWII. 
"Trust Timor, It's Tested": This was the brand's iconic strapline in the 1930s, reinforcing its reputation for reliability in Britain, Germany, and France.
Military Supplier: Timor was one of twelve manufacturers (the "Dirty Dozen") commissioned by the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) to produce the robust W.W.W. (Watch, Wrist, Waterproof) timepieces for battlefield use. They also supplied the earlier Army Trade Pattern (A.T.P.) watches.
Modern Revival: After navigating the "quartz crisis" in the 1970s and a period of producing pocket watches, the brand was re-incorporated in the UK in 2019 to focus on reissuing its classic military designs.
