Poljot For Sekonda Alarm Watch USSR Soviet Era 1990

Poljot For Sekonda Alarm Watch USSR Soviet Era 1990

£65.00Price

This is a classic Soviet mechanical alarm watch, produced at the First Moscow Watch Factory and branded as Sekonda for the UK export market. The watch is powered by the 2612.1 caliber movement with 18 jewels, which is the only mechanical alarm movement ever mass-produced in the USSR. This was introduced in 1989, and as the watch is marked USSR at the dial base it dates the watch to 1990, when the Soviet Union broke up.

This model, often referred to as the "Signal," has two crowns: the top crown winds and sets the mechanical alarm, while the bottom crown operates the timekeeping functions. When the alarm triggers, the watch produces a soft but distinct buzzing vibration, which might potentially wake you!

The dial is bright silver with a maroon outer ring, a central hand with an arrow tip to set the alarm time.

The brass 34mmx42mm case has some signs of age and wear.

The watch has been serviced in The Ukraine
