Newmark Gentleman's Diver Style Manual Wind Watch

Louis Newmark & Company were watch manufacturers in their own right, manufacturing very large numbers of simple pin movement watches under their own name, as well as for The Services Watch Company, Guildhall Watches, and several others.
By the 1960's things had moved on, and Newmark were primarily importing watches from Switzerland - This extrodinarliy handsome Diver being a fine example.........
This is a substantial 37mmx43mm Diver Style watch, it has an imperfect but beautiful looking dial, which has a few marks and had suffered some small finish loss to the dial edge which we have touched in.
The bexel is original, really good, and turns as it should, the watch case is chrome on brass, and really excellent, the EB 8800 movement runs sweetly, and keeps time - We have fitted one of our favourite hand made leather straps.
