Vintage Kienzle 17 Jewel Manual Winding Wrist Watch

Vintage Men's Kienzle 17 Jewel manual winding watch in great original condition. The dial is in brushed soft gold, with applied contrasting polished gold batons, in perfect condition.
All works correctly, and the 17 Jewel movement runs to time. Crystal is a replacement as is the strap. Brass case is excellent, measures 33mmx40mm.
Kienzle, the oldest German watchmaking brand, was founded in 1822 by Johannes Schlenker in Schwenningen, Germany. The company expanded significantly in the 19th century, becoming known for mass-producing clock components and eventually wristwatches and car clocks. Kienzle also had a branch in Milan for producing clock cases and assembling movements for the Italian market. The company has experienced various ownership changes, including a Hong Kong-based company and eventually being bought back to Hamburg, Germany, in 2006.
