Thales Chronometer Chrome Plated 17 Jewel ETA Movement Watch
A really attractive mid century chronometer, with a top class eta manual winding movement.
Superb "Telemeter " dial , cream outer, and champagne silver centre, gold Arabic numerals, and arrowhead markers - With chrome pushers at 2 and 4, the button at 4 is absent, but all works as it should do. This is a really attractive watch. There is some loss on the chrome plating on the case.
Chrome on Brass case 37mm x 44mm the movement runs well, and we have replaced the strap.
The ETA 1168 is a vintage, hand-wound mechanical watch movement known for its "chronostop" or simple chronograph feature, produced around 1955. It is distinct from a full chronograph because its center-sweep second hand runs continuously and cannot be stopped and restarted for a cumulative measurement
