Saxon 17 Jewel Manual Winding Gentleman's Bracelet Watch
An archetypal 1980's Watch in good order and keeping time. 17 jewel movement. chrome on brass polished case, measuring, approximately 35mmx42mm (without the winding crown and from lug tip to tip) , good acrylic crystal, and good bracelet, comfortable on my 7.5" wrist.
The "Saxon" watch history primarily refers to two distinct origins: the German watchmaking tradition from the Saxony region, founded by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in 1845, and a modern brand, "Saxon," likely originating from Hong Kong and later sold to a Japanese company in the mid-1990s, known for using mass-produced movements. The German tradition is associated with high-quality watchmaking, while the modern brand is known for more affordable, mall-based retail.
