This is an entirely new watch built up around a reconditioned movement, a chrome plated case, with a mono directional rotating bezel, and an exhibition back, a most impressive watch, and an excellent timekeeper.
The Strap can be swapped for Mesh or silicone as required. 
HMT (Hindustan Machine Tools) Watches, established in 1961 in Bangalore in collaboration with Japan's Citizen Watch Co., was India's first, and for a long time, largest, state-owned watch manufacturer. Known as "Timekeepers to the Nation," iconic mechanical models like the Janata, Pilot, and Sona defined1960s-80s Indian culture. Despite dominating for decades, the brand struggled with the 1980s quartz crisis and ceased manufacturing in 2016.
