Ogival Two-Tone Dial 1950's Gentlemen's Watch
A Rare of a Two-Tone Dial Ogival watch dating to about 1950.
Superb two-tone champagne/silver dial, with Ogival's flying fish logo, Arabic numerals, with inner seconds track. Heavy chromed brass case 33mmx40mm (Width excl winder and from lug to lug) We have had the movement overhauled by our Ukranian Master-Watchmaker, it runs well, and to time.
The case back is also engraved with the fish logo - "Fisk" - Swedish for fish. these are a charming and reliable watches, we have provided a new "Debere" leather strap.
Ogival is a Swiss watch brand founded in 1903 by René Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The brand's logo, a jumping fish, became a symbol of quality and durability. Ogival produced various watch models, including luxury jewelry watches and marine chronometers. The brand has been bought and sold several times and is currently owned by Shadow Bamboo Co Ltd, a Taiwanese company.
