Paul Breguette (Ebel) Automatic Winding Watch

A Rare and Fine Quality Automatic Winding watch from the 1950's.
Bright and in excellent condition, an automatic watch with an ETA  movement working well , the superb black dial has age spots, but is still glossy and looks good, with transferred Arabic numerals, and slim gold applied markers.
The polished filled gold case is 31mm x 38mm excluding the crown - There is engraving to the case back. Fitted with an 18mm leather strap.
The ETA 2461 watch movement is a mechanical movement that was used around 1955. It is equipped with an automatic winding system and features a sweep second function.
Paul Breguette was a watch brand created by the well-known Swiss watchmaker Ebel for the North American market. The brand was active for several decades, beginning in the 1930s. 
Brand origin and history
 The Paul Breguette brand was first introduced in 1935 by Ebel, a respected Swiss watch manufacturer. Another source dates the introduction to 1929.  It was designed specifically to serve as Ebel's market brand in North America.  Watches under the Paul Breguette name were often high-quality timepieces. Some featured well-regarded, complicated movements, including those based on the A. Schild calibre.  It is not clear exactly when the Paul Breguette brand was discontinued. However, it is believed to have been retired when Ebel began to market its own name in the United States and Canada. 
The name "Breguette"
The name choice was likely a strategic one for marketing in the American market. It bears a resemblance to the prestigious Breguet brand, one of the oldest and most respected names in horology, though Paul Breguette was not affiliated with it. This was a common practice among watchmakers at the time, but Paul Breguette was a legitimate subsidiary brand of Ebel.
