Blue Circu1972 Avia Swissonic Electronic Gentleman's Watch

In Pristine condition, just back from a service with our Swissonic expert sporting a new strap which could be swapped for a S/S bracelet. The stainless steel case has very few marks,  The dial is superb, a royal blue , with the journal and baton detail in white - Avia Electronic in crisp white, with the orange second hand finishing the wonderful period look.
The ESA 9154 is a fascinating movement.  The thirteen jewel movement uses a transistorized switch balance, and was killed off by the cheaper quartz technology.  So half the movement is electronically controlled, and half mechanical.  What this means is that you have a sweep second hand on the watch like a mechanical watch, but no need to wind it up.  You will have to change the battery periodically.
