Le Cheminant "Invincible" Automatic 25 Jewel 35mm Gold Plated Watch

Classic mid 1960s Le Cheminant ‘Invincible’ watch in excellent condition. 
It has a 35mm case diameter, with a depth of 11mm and a lug-to-lug measurement of 42.mm. The gold plate is a relatively even tone and is in good condition with little signs of wear.
The dial is superb. The arabic numerals are raised, in gold against the bright silver background with a window at three 
The luminous facetted dauphine style hands are original and were very much on-trend in the mid 1960s.
The steel screw back which is signed with theserial number 527-1150, with brushed finishing. Inside is the reliable, robust and accurate Felsa calibre 4700N. It is a bi-directional automatic movement with incabloc shock protection and a jewel count of 25. It is functioning well, keeping time.

Originally a jeweller, it has since become principally a watch maker and, in the early 20th century, supplied chronometers and deck watches to the Royal Navy. Since the 1950s it has concentrated on watches and is currently based in Surrey, England.
