Presented in excellent condition, an attractive and good quality all Stainless-Steel watch by Rotary dating to the late 1970's.

The watch is excellent, with just minor wear marks around the case the dial is perfect in navy blue with applied silver baton markers - Original white/silver hands with a bracelet comfortable on my 7.5" wrist. Case 36mmx38mm. 

  • Rotary was founded in 1895 by Moise Dreyfuss in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Key milestones include expanding to the UK in 1905, introducing the winged wheel logo in 1925, and serving as an official watch supplier to the British Army during WWII.

  • 1895: Moise Dreyfuss opens a watchmaking workshop in Switzerland, focusing on precision and reliability.

  • 1905: Sons Georges and Sylvain open a UK import office, which later functions as the brand's main hub.

  • 1925: The famous "Winged Wheel" logo is launched.

  • 1940: Appointed official watch supplier to the British Army, providing reliable ATP service watches for troops.

  • 1942: Introduces early accessible automatic watch movements.

  • 1950s–1960s: Expands heavily into stylish dress watches under Teddy Dreyfuss, becoming a household name in Britain.

  • 1977: Sponsors the British Racing Motors (BRM) Formula 1 team.

  • 2014–2025: Owned by China Haidian (later Citychamp Watch & Jewellery Group).

  • 2025: Acquired by the UK-based Peers Hardy Group.
