1953 Helvetia Cal 831 Manual Winding Gentleman's Watch

A Fine quality Gentleman's 1950's Swiss made watch by Helvetia - Bright chrome on brass 33x40 case with a screw down back.
Produced in-house by Helvetia, the high-quality calibre 831 movement has 17 Jewels and sweep second hand, and runs at 18,000 A/h. The movement has Incabloc shock protection on the balance jewels, and cap jewels on both ends of the escape wheel.
As can be seen from the pictures, the movement is in clean bright condition and running strongly. The watch winds smoothly and keeps good time.
The champagne dial is in good but aged condition with applied Arabic numerals with gold coloured hands.
The acrylic glass has been replaced. A new strap is fitted.
