1970's Sekonda De Luxe 23 Jewels Cal 2209 Watch
£45.00Price
The 23 jewel calibre 2209 movement is a unique design, allowing for a thin movement of just 3.0mm but in such a way that it is still robust and reliable. Unusual in that parts of the gear train turn every 40 minutes instead of sixty.
"Beware of expensive imitations" was Sekonda's strapline!
On this watch the 35mmx44mm case is 10 micron gold plated, and near perfect - The dial is champagne gold , again the dial is near perfect. The watch is on a new leather strap. New high dome acrylic crystal.
The 2209 calibre is a famous historical Soviet mechanical watch movement known for being ultra-thin, reliable, and featuring 18 to 23 jewels. It was produced by premier Soviet watch factories including Luch, Poljot and Vostok.
