1970's Sekonda De Luxe 23 Jewels Cal 2209 Watch

£45.00Price
  • The 23 jewel calibre 2209 movement  is a unique design, allowing for a thin movement of just 3.0mm but in such a way that it is still robust and reliable. Unusual in that parts of the gear train turn every 40 minutes instead of sixty.

  • "Beware of expensive imitations"  was Sekonda's strapline!

On this watch the 35mmx44mm case is 10 micron gold plated, and near perfect - The dial is champagne gold , again the dial is near perfect. The watch is on a new leather strap. New high dome acrylic crystal.

The 2209 calibre is a famous historical Soviet mechanical watch movement known for being ultra-thin, reliable, and featuring 18 to 23 jewels. It was produced by premier Soviet watch factories including Luch, Poljot and Vostok.
