Buren was a historic Swiss watch brand known for its innovative movements, particularly the micro-rotor design, which it licensed to other high-end manufacturers like Hamilton, Universal Genève, and IWC. Production ceased in 1972 following its acquisition by the Hamilton Watch Company and later, the Swatch Group. Today, vintage Buren watches are sought after by collectors, and new watches are also being produced under the name by the modern brand Swiss Watches Editions.
