1950's Avia 33mm Gentleman's Watch

An attractive Avia watch from the 1950's, in a well worn stylised case  - the alabaster dial has some very light ageing, but looks great, with it's slim stick markers, and Art Deco numerals, inner second track with a minuture red tipped second hand. Running to time 33mx40mm case.
The Avia Watch Company began in 1887 when H.V. Degoumois was established in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The brand became known for quality mid-range mechanical lever movements, supplying parts to prominent names like Wittnauer and Ball Watch Company, before later pioneering early quartz-digital LCD technology and ultimately being acquired by the Fossil Group
